Unit 3 Reflection

Unit 3
In this unit I learned in a main concepts about 2 things:
  1. Almost everything is a cycle
  2. There are 2 types of cells
This was not really the main Ideas in the Vodcasts or in labs but each time I look back this is the main pattern I saw. Ex for 1: Cell Theory, Photosynthesis & Cellular Respiration, Diffusion, and DNA. These are all cycles, sure DNA changes but if you look at the blueprint all humans are extremely close and the differences are very small in DNA. Cell Theory is that all cell come from other cell, a cycle, Photosynthesis & Cellular Respiration counter each other to make energy, Diffusion keeps the cell the same and makes it get bigger or smaller to keep equilibrium. All this info tells me is that most thing in life or about life or why life is a cycle. This cycle continues and made us into who we are. some may argue if it was a cycle, why aren't we unicellular, the answer is that this is part of the cycle, a cycle that layers on itself so that the cycle can grow and get bigger. (Like This Blog XD) (hopefully)

I also learned there are 2 basic cells at this time period, because at some point cells were all unicellular. And I think at some point(not sure when) all life will be multi cellular. This is off topic but just think of Bio-weapons that aim for the mitochondria in your body, scary though right? The chances are that all life won't be all multi cellular because some virus will probably combine with another and make a super virus and kill off the whole world. Then the cycle will begin again, but lets get back on topic. The 2 cells we have are eukaryotes and prokaryotes. Eukaryotes are practically cells that work together and for animals(like us) or the prokaryotes who are all the viruses you can think of.These 2 work together and against each other. like some of the organelles we have in our bodies used to be prokaryotes and we are vastly out numbered, even cell to cell. I believe that one day some Genius will make some pretty cool monsters that we just combine a bunch of eukatyotes and make a Bio zoo or something(ahem, please do that Mr. Orre) and make more money than piano cat. Or we will all die to them, 50-50 chance but that's just my ideas.
Image result for the 2 types of cells
+10 points if you can come up with 15 prokaryotes in a minute.

In the comments below if you can, answer these questions:

  1. what happens in the Calvin cycle?
  2. can plants with purple leaves absorb red and blue light?
  3. can someone die due to lack of mitochondria?
  4. Can we make a drink that has ATP and Electrolytes to fuel us more?
  5. Do Insect shells have cell walls?
  6. Can Aqua Man defuse things?
Image result for the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell       People reading this(who are eukaryotes) are wondering why I get all off topic, but this all connects(+ it's pretty interesting). Many people who take Bio and say it's boring but watch a SCI-FY and say its cool, they are practically the same thing. I can reflect and connect this to: Zombies, Bio weapons, Aliens, The Future and every other game/movie in existence.
Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did writing it. This was a fun reflections and I want to see that Bio Zoo so see(or obsessively watch how many views this gets) you next time :)
